3:30 PM | Shuttle Departure Please meet in front of Pacific 19 Hotel at ~3:00PM. The shuttle will depart promptly at 3:30 PM to ensure everyone is settled before the "I dos." Note: Rideshares are limited on the island, so we highly recommend catching the shuttle! 4:30 PM | The Ceremony We’re getting married on the sand! Please remember your sunscreen, as there is limited shade at the ceremony site. 5:00 PM | Cocktail Hour Enjoy drinks and Hawaiian pupus (appetizers). 6:00 PM | Dinner is Served We’ll transition to dinner just as the light turns golden. 6:30 PM | Sunset &amp; Golden Hour The sun sets at 6:30 PM! We feel so lucky to be spending a whole week in Kona with our favourite people. While the wedding is the main event, we’ll be around all week and would love for anyone who’s in town to join us whenever it feels right.There’s no formal schedule — just a loose plan so you know where we’ll be. Absolutely no pressure to attend anything outside of the wedding. We’re just excited to share the week with you 🤍Saturday, September 5Arrivals &amp; settling in. Likely a casual sunset drink somewhere local for anyone who’s around. Location TBD!Sunday, September 6Slow beach morning — coffee, ocean swims, and sunshine.Monday, September 7Lunch at Kona Brewing Company We’ll be heading to Kona Brew for lunch. Come grab a pizza and a beer with us!Tuesday, September 8Rehearsal Dinner &amp; Welcome PartyWe’ll be gathering at the hotel for our rehearsal dinner followed by a welcome party at ~7:00 PM. Wedding Week 

Our story began in Kona, Hawaii, where a chance night out led to a lifelong connection. Blake was working on his family’s coffee farm, and Heather was visiting with friends. After a spark at a local bar (soundtracked by our friend and wedding DJ, Shannon!), a farm BBQ, and a few days of swimming with wild dolphins, we were hooked.Distance couldn't keep us apart. After years of flights between Vancouver and Hawaii—and two years of border closures that tested our patience—we finally reunited in Melbourne in 2021. Today, we live in Port Melbourne with our cat, TimTam. We couldn't be more excited to head back to the Big Island to say "I do" right where it all started.

Dress Code

We are reserving a block of rooms at&nbsp;Pacific 19 Kona, which will be our recommended home base for your stay. There are 2 room styles available - King and 2x Double Beds. The rate is guaranteed for 3x nights pre and 3x nights post, so feel free to stay there for the whole week! (That's where we will be) However PLEASE NOTE - it is Labour Day weekend that first week so please book ASAP if you're planning to stay as the shoulder dates are subject to availability. This centrally located hotel is perfect for those looking to be close to all the action in Kona. The pre-wedding mixer will be held here, and it will also be the pick-up and drop-off location for the wedding shuttles, making it the most convenient option for guests attending the celebration. With its fantastic location, you’ll be just minutes away from the best that Kona has to offer, from beaches to local restaurants and shops.

PACIFIC 19 Kona

For those looking for a slightly more luxurious stay, we recommend the&nbsp;King Kamehameha Hotel, located just across the street from Pacific 19 Kona. This hotel offers beachfront views and a bit more of a premium experience. While it is slightly more expensive, it’s a fantastic option for guests who want to be right on the water, with easy access to everything in Kona. With its stunning location, you’ll be able to enjoy beautiful ocean views and the convenience of being steps away from all the action, including the pre-wedding mixer and wedding shuttle pick-up at Pacific 19. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing stay while still being close to all the festivities!

For another walking-distance option, we recommend&nbsp;Royal Kona Resort, located just a 15-20 minute walk along Ali’i Drive from Pacific 19 Kona. This resort offers comfortable accommodations with beautiful views of the ocean and easy access to Kona’s shops, restaurants, and beaches. While it’s a little further from the Pacific 19 hotel, it’s still a great choice for those looking to stay in Kona without breaking the bank. We stayed there when we went back to Hawaii to look at venues. The walk along Ali’i Drive is scenic and gives you a chance to explore the area at a leisurely pace.

🌺 Things to Do in Kona 🌺The Big Island is obviously a very meaningful place for us and we are so happy you will be able to visit this really special island.We do recommend renting a car while you're here as the island is called the Big Island for a reason. Make sure you budget travel time into your day when planning excursions.Whether you’re looking to relax on a beach or explore the vibrant landscapes, there’s something for everyone. A great guide to explore is <a href="https://bigislandguide.com/activities" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Big Island Guide Website if you want more information. </a>Here are some of our favourite things to do, and other top recommendations for your time in Kona:🌊 Outdoor Adventures<a href="https://bigislandguide.com/kealakekua-bay" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">• </a><a href="https://bigislandguide.com/kealakekua-bay" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay</a>Fun fact: this is where Captain Cook died. Explore this protected marine sanctuary, known for its vibrant coral reefs and abundant fish species. Sometimes you may even get the chance to swim with dolphins! The snorkeling area around the monument is inaccessible by car, but you have several options to tour Kealakekua Bay: boat tour, kayaks, or a hike into this historical and protected area.When Heather and her friends visited they went here and rented Kayaks/SUPs and had a great day out on the water.• Snorkeling at Honaunau Bay (or Two Step Beach / Pae’a)This is another snorkelling spot just off Ali'i drive. You can rent snorkelling gear right off the beach if desired. Two Step is also a scuba diving location for beginners and experts. There is a sandy area on the north side of the bay where the local dive shops teach new divers.• Hawaiian Coffee FarmWe spent a lot of time in the early days on Blake's family's farm. We recommend visiting a coffee farms in Holualoa to see how Kona coffee is grown and processed. A list of a few that offer tours can be found <a href="https://www.lovebigisland.com/kona-coffee-tasting/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a>.• Kona Coast BeachesSpend a relaxing day at some of Kona’s stunning beaches, our favourites are Kua Bay or Hapuna Beach, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or walking along the shore. They often have lifeguards but please be careful if the waves are big!We will hopefully be organising a beach day for everyone in the days following the wedding, so stay tuned!• Volcanoes National ParkA unique must-see for any visitor to the Big Island. Explore active lava fields, steaming craters, and hiking trails with breathtaking views. Depending on the activity you may be able to see some active lava flows!* this is a bit of a drive (about 2-2.5 hours away), so make sure you plan ahead for this day• SouthpointIf you're heading to the volcano, make sure you stop at Southpoint which is the "southern most tip of the United States". Have a beer at "the most southern bar" or a Malasada at "the most southern bakery".• Hawaii Tropical Bioreserve and GardenThis one is QUITE a drive, but a highlight from one of Heather's visits. It is a 40-acre natural garden of tropical plants and a nature lover’s paradise located in the Onomea Valley, about 5 miles North of Hilo, Hawaii.Ideal to combine this with an early morning drive to see the sunrise at at the top of Mauna Kea.• Mauna Kea Speaking of <a href="https://bigislandguide.com/stargazing-at-mauna-kea" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Mauna Kea</a>, Hawaii’s tallest volcano is an incredible visit for either sunset or sunrise. (Bundle up though - its freezing!) The Visitor Center area is great for stargazing and accessible for all vehicles. The summit of Mauna Kea is open to visitors with a 4 wheel-drive vehicle during the day and for sunset, but is closed from 30 minutes after sunset, to 30 minutes before sunrise. Feel free to have a chat with Blake for more insider tips on the best way to visit here.🏞 Cultural &amp; Historical Sites• Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historical ParkBlake took Heather here on her very first trip back to Hawaii and was a really cute tour guide.A sacred place of refuge where ancient Hawaiians sought sanctuary. It’s rich in culture and history, with beautiful temples and stunning ocean views.The historical significance of this place is truly impressive and should not be missed. The park spans across 182 acres and can easily take a couple of hours to explore. It makes for a really nice day trip to visit the park to learn about the history of the area and then go snorkeling at two-step, right around the corner.• Kailua Village Historic DistrictVisit the Kona Historical Sites in Downtown Kona. An easy thing to do when you're walking around (they're hard to miss). <a href="https://bigislandguide.com/kona-cultural-sites" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Here's a link </a>to tell you a little about what to see. There's the Hulihe’e Palace, Moku’aikaua Church, Kamakahonu and Anu’ena Heiau. 🌄 Unique Experiences• Night Manta Ray DiveA unique experience to Kona. Heather went with her friends on the original Hawaii trip and while she was unable to see them then, she's always wanted to go back and give it another try. <a href="https://jacksdivinglocker.com/charters/manta-ray-night-snorkel" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Jack's Diving Locker</a> did say at the time that they honour your voucher if you don't see them that night. (I still have a faded yellowed receipt somewhere at my parent's place from 2019, but I'm not sure if they'll honour that one..)• Helicopter Tour of the IslandIf you want to go big, we really recommend a helicopter tour. Blake's friend hooked him up with a flight with <a href="Blue Hawaiian Helicopters" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Blue Hawaiian Helicopters</a> in order to impress Heather when she first came back to Hawaii to see him. (He succeeded, it was incredible)The Big Island is breathtaking from above. You can choose to fly over the volcano or waterfalls and a quick browse of their site looks like they might now offer a tour of both!🛍 Shopping &amp; Souvenirs• Kona Farmers MarketVisit the open-air market for fresh produce, local crafts, and Hawaiian souvenirs. It’s open daily, but the best day to go is on Wednesday or Saturday.• Ali’i DriveThis main road offers a mix of shops, art galleries, and boutiques to pick up gifts and souvenirs. Everyone has to go into the classic ABC stores where you can find everything from silly souvenirs to drinks and snacks.• CostcoThis may seem silly but Costco is a staple for local hawaiian families and a great place to go if you're stocking up an Airbnb or were wanting to pick up some adventure gear like snorkle/fins/bodyboard etc.

Things to Do

🍤 Food Reccomendations Hawaiian food is something special! Here are some of our favourites (and I'll probably add more as we get closer): • L&amp;L Hawaiian BarbecueThe Original Hawaiian Barbecue. Servings are generous so come hungry. Heather loves the spam or teriyaki chicken musubi. Blake loves the Chicken Katsu plate. If you want a classic Hawaiian meal we also recommend a Loco Moko. • Any Bakery A Hawaii staple - Malasadas! A Portuguese fried pastry, similar to a doughnut but without a hole, traditionally made with a yeasted dough and coated in sugarThe OG place on the Big Island according to Blake is Tex Drive-In, however this is quite a drive (2+ hours) away from Kona. Most bakeries on the Big Island should have them though, so make sure you try one while you're there. • Dons the BeachcomberHome of the original Mai Tai and a GREAT spot to watch the sunset. We recommend getting a Mai Tai Flight. You can sit at the bar or if you want dinner, probably best to make a reservation as it gets pretty busy! • Huggos On The RocksWe almost had our reception here! It is a great little beachfront restaurant along the Ali'i drive strip where you can sit in the sand and have some fun cocktails. • Lava Lava Beach ClubOne of our favourites when we've been out in Waikoloa. A great place for a sunset cocktail or afternoon bite to eat. Also a great place for a quick ocean dip or beach day.

Garden Party Reception

We know not everyone can make the trip to Kona, so we're bringing the celebration to you! Join us for a laid-back potluck reception to celebrate with family and friends at Heather's parents' home in Fort Langley, BC, a week after our wedding. Expect an afternoon of great company, and a few celebratory speeches. It's our chance to catch up and share the joy of our marriage with those we love in a more informal setting. Reception Details:When: Saturday, September 19, 2026, starting at 1:00 PMWhere: 8956 Nash Street, Fort Langley, BC V1M 2S2 Important Notes:To Bring: Please bring a small appetizer to share (finger foods preferred). We'll be serving burgers around 5:00–5:30 PM for those who stay into the evening!What to Wear: The bride and groom will likely be in their wedding best, so feel free to dress up a little! Ultimately, comfort is key. Since the ground is uneven, we recommend leaving the heels at home.Accommodation: Details to come. A Note on Wedding AttendanceWe wish we could have included everyone at our wedding in Kona, but we were limited by our venue's guest capacity. We are so happy to be able to celebrate our marriage with you at this extended garden party reception in Fort Langley and truly value your understanding!
